We have an immediate opening for a full-time, senior level Traffic Engineer with a strong background in traffic systems operation and engineering, signal design, developing construction documents and managing traffic projects.  The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team on the delivery of projects and expanding our practice.
Specific Tasks include:

    Client engagement and business development
    Traffic engineering project management
    Signal timing
    Traffic signal design
    Operational analysis
    Technical writing

MAJOR DUTIES:               

    Function as senior project engineer or traffic engineering task manager
    Provide technical analysis for a wide range of transportation infrastructure projects
    Perform and provide technical review of HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and other traffic engineering analysis software
    Interface with staff from other disciplines (civil, structural, planning, transit & rail, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects
    Perform a range of marketing and business development activities, including gathering client intelligence, leading pursuits and proposals, and interfacing through professional organizations
    Work cooperatively with clients and existing staff to expand the Ohio traffic engineering team
    Participate in Community, Civic and Client related events
    Perform QA/QC on signal plans, traffic control plans, maintenance of traffic plans and studies

Job Requirements

    Experience with HCS 2010 and Synchro
    Have a minimum of 7 years of traffic engineering experience
    Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
    Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Have the ability to work in the United States immediately
    Local client knowledge
    Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months, PTOE (preferred)
 on key projects and strategic pursuits
