SUMMARY – The Regional Manager (RM) of their Private sectorsales team is responsible for the oversight of sales and operational activities.The RM will recruit, train, coach, and assist in the creation of course andprogrammatic solutions with P&Ls that are beneficial to both Pearson andthe client. The RM is accountable for sales forecasts and analysis, along withfinancial management of company resources. The Manager is responsible for providing year round assessment andfeedback of each direct report to promote growth, development, and success forPearson. The manager will be responsiblefor all aspects of selling, managing and executing sales includingoff-the-shelf and customized solutions, as well as services.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 5years management experience leading successful solutions-based sales,education, preferred Private Sector (Career College) experience, or publishingexperience

  • Strongeducational technology background

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES

  • Solidpresentations, account development, and leadership skills are necessary tomotivate staff and achieve sales targets.

  • Assess and assumeresponsibility for appropriate culture shifts and/or sales accountability

  • Proven ability toorganize, prioritize, plan, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strongcommunication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) for working closelywith a wide variety of internal departments as well as working with a broadcustomer base.

  • Strongcomprehension of product, media, services, and customized solutions

  • Ability to travelas necessary to fulfill core job functions in assigned area

  • Generalproficiency with MS Office Suite applications , SFDC, and ability to learnadditional software programs quickly includingPearson digital solutions and services
