The Social Media Manager will execute the day-to-day management of the company’s corporate social media properties with a goal of driving brand awareness, gaining mindshare, promoting MicroStrategy as a thought leader, sharing relevant and useful content, as well as engaging with customers, prospects and other users. This role will work closely with multiple teams including product marketing, field marketing, sales, human resources, professional services and customer support to develop and publish social media content on a daily basis. The role will also monitor for and engage in mentions, questions and conversations involving the MicroStrategy brand on behalf of the company, as well as manage the company’s employee social media amplification program. In addition, the social media manager will be responsible for achieving and reporting on key KPIs associated with social media success. Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for detail and a willingness to work together as a team to represent and amplify the MicroStrategy brand on public-facing channels. The right person will also be able to provide input into the overall social media strategy, developing new ideas to increase effectiveness as part of the overall MicroStrategy marketing program.
Own day-to-day social media management by driving the publishing calendar and working with internal and external stakeholders to develop content
Professionally represent and engage on behalf of the brand via high-visibility public-facing channels
Coordinate the company’s internal employee amplification system and drive participation
Manage and report on key KPIs
Assist with related projects as needed
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree or comparable vocational education
4+ years marketingexperience
Strong social media background and execution experience
Strong writing, English or journalism background or related skills
Knowledge of Enterprise Software Industry and B2B Go to Market best practices, processes and tactics
You should also bring the following:
Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
Experience with Hootsuite, Sprinklr or other enterprise social media management tools preferred
Experience with Adobe Photoshop or Creative Cloud preferred
A self-starter who is happy to work autonomously and without direct support
Energetic, strong work ethic and a dynamic individual
Highly motivated and willing to work within a fast-paced environment with an innate sense of urgency
