The ERP Functional Analyst plays a critical role in delivering successful solutions by collaborating with business and technology groups to elicit requirements and manage the design and development of ERP-related modules. The ERP Functional Analyst continually monitors the systems performance and user utilization. Since the ERP Functional Analyst is involved with multiple business functional groups (Sales, HR, Finance, etc.), the Functional Analyst will not only know how to manage multiple projects, but will also possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities • Support the development, execution, and integration of Microsoft DAX 2012 (ERP) and business process best practices across the organization. Works on complex business issues, which have a significant impact to the enterprise and across enterprise processes and functions due to the integration of ERP. • Possesses an in-depth understanding of the Finance and Accounting function/process and business strategy, and is viewed as a credible representative of Finance. Communicates and coordinates with other team leads, business leadership, IT and/or vendors to ensure appropriate integration of processes and ERP modules. • Has a strong understanding and experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 R2 and R3 (AX2012) methodology. Works with the team to define business requirements and mapping business processes to AX2012 modules (often in conjunction with consultants.) Assist in the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes. • Performs functional analysis, requirements definition and AX2012 module configuration and testing. Responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration and transaction/control tables. • Performs configuration, change management and testing activities as required. Maintains AX2012 systems security through user profile management. Creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts. • Assist in identifying recommendations for enhancements/changes that may involve custom design, optional and third-party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of AX2012 systems. Consults users on technology changes that will impact work processes. • Serves as point-of-contact for Power Users. Performs problem identification and on-the-spot training to prevent problem reoccurrence and knowledge transfer. Escalates Tier 2 problems to appropriate support (e.g., technical experts or process experts). • Often is involved in the creation of documentation and training materials, and may deliver training. • Service oriented and highly knowledgeable about technology enabled business solutions. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or other related field. Experience: • Three or more years of AX2012experience in Finance, Projects, AP, and Procurement. • Atlas and Power BI Reporting experiencepreferred. • Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 certification preferred. Builds Trust: Interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence in one’s intentions and those of the organization. Negotiating: Presents issues or ideas in a clear and influential manner; maintains an open-minded and non-judgmental attitude; listens to others’ views and empathizes; obtains satisfactory and mutually beneficial agreements through open negotiations and compromises. Communication Skills: Presents ideas, concepts, and information effectively and clearly through the spoken and written word; actively listens; communicates comfortably with various audiences; responds effectively to questions. Independence: Ability to work alone without immediate supervision, or other source of direction, for extended periods of time. Capable of self-directed work. Technical Skills • Demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 R2 or R3 related functional modules. • Demonstrated proficiency in configuration and functional set up for Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 R2 or R3 systems. • Ability to generate business unit and enterprise wide reports using reporting technologies. • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 R2 or R3 integration projects. • Ability with eliciting ERP integration requirements. • Experience or knowledge of software development terms, processes, and procedures. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
