The Role in Brief:
Royall & Company is the higher education industry leader in enrollment management, financial aid optimization and alumni fundraising – partnering with more than 350 colleges and universities to provide strategic, data-driven solutions that allow them to achieve their unique institutional goals.  Our Program Development team serves as the voice of the business to our development teams and ultimately manages the life cycle for new product development and enhancements.  We’re seeking a Senior Program Development Manager with 5 years of relevant experience to join our team and play a major role in shaping our product capabilities and features.  If you have product management experience within programmatic marketing and/or products with heavy data and analytics component, this role could be a great fit for you!
The position reports to our Program Development Resource Leader and is located in Richmond, Virginia.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Leads and supports the conceptual and technical development of new marketing products and enhancements from start to finish
- Works with business lines to understand company and client goals and approaches work from a user point of view
- Converts data and analytics into a sound product strategy
- Creates and communicates strategic objectives for the products managed to articulate to the business direction and timelines
- Works closely with business leaders and management to plan, prioritize and test new products and enhancements
- Defines and breaks down product value and measures of success
- Develops and launches program features and capabilities; tracks product lifecycle
- Serves as a product advocate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Trains junior team members in product management best practices
- Surveys clients, internal constituents and the market to come up with strategic business opportunities for new products and program enhancements that drive client success and business growth

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years’ experience of technology product management or managing tech- and data-focused products strategically, from concept to market, overseeing the execution details, driving success throughout the product lifecycle, as well as scaling and growth
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently while meeting milestones on schedule, including ability to influence outside the team
- Proven ability to explain technical issues and topics in understandable ways and provide technical solutions for business problems
- Ability to translate market findings and priorities into new product / enhancement ideas
- Experience on an agile team
