As a Senior Networking Design Engineer, you will be part of a team focused on delivering best in class networking services and solutions for our employees and customers. This role works seamlessly within the networking department and cross-functionally to ensure our services deliver business value and are the foundation for future business capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design principles, roadmaps, internal standards, and processes based on industry best practices
• Design networking solutions based on business, data, application, and technology requirements
• Deliver large-scale, complex, networking solutions, on-time and within budget
• Mentor Network Engineers (Build) in the development and validation of site specific designs
• Transition high performing and sustainable network services and solutions to our build and run teams
• Provide deep, subject matter expertise for a broad portfolio of networking technologies and services
• Stay informed of how networking technologies are currently impacting and driving the industry
• Communicate industry trends, best practices and opportunities for technology and process optimization
• Proactively advise management on ongoing needs and issues related to network and security



Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years in network engineering and architecture
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols including DHCP, DNS, S-HTTP, NAT, TCP, UDP, BGP, EIGRP, IPv4, IPv6, Multicast, MPLS (VRF), RSVP, DSCP/QoS
• Extensive experience with switching and routing platforms - Catalyst 65xx, 45xx, 3xxx, 2xxx, Nexus 2k-9k, ISR 4xxx
• Knowledge and Experience in VPN Technologies and Deployments - IPsec, SSL, 3DES, AES, IKE, DMVPN, AnyConnect, Full Tunnel/Split Tunnel Client VPN Solutions, Site to Site VPN Solutions preferred
• Broad knowledge of Wireless standards and protocols - WPA/WPA2, 802.1x, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/r/k, CAPWAP, RRM, WMM, X.509, CA Authority, MDM, AAA, Kerberos, Captive Portal, Guest Access, Posturing, Profiling, DACLs, PACLs are a plus
• Knowledge of Security Appliances and features- ASA, PAN and ForeScout are a plus
• Knowledge of Enterprise DC Systems including V-Block, NetScaler and Nutanix are a plus

• Strong communication skills to align cross functional teams around the delivery of the committed objectives and outcomes
• Ability to partner with internal clients to understand business needs and offer advice and solutions, while operating from a position of expertise balanced with a collaborative approach
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, time and project management skills
• Ability to make timely and effective decisions that are based on sound judgment and business rationale



Qualifications:

• A 4-year university degree in a related field of study is required
• Recent, Advanced, Cisco Networking Certifications are preferred
• Additional certifications in F5 Networks, Palo Alto Networks, and Riverbed are a plus
