Program Manager, Sr. Advisory

Position Summary

The purpose of the Program Manager, Sr. Advisory is to deliver program outcomes within time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction parameters for client engagements.  Scope of responsibility includes oversight and management of the program, multiple tracks of work, leveraging various skill-sets, inclusive of program and project managers, ensuring a consistent usage of standard program and project management practices.  The Program Manager will provide leadership, vision, strategic planning and support tactical execution plans.   Programs typically cross multiple business areas and third party entities.  The Program Manager is expected to work under minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful program delivery

Provide a holistic view of the overall program and its respective projects to the organization and all stakeholders

2. Monitor the integrity of the program and execute measures to maintain such integrity

3. Define program governance outlining roles/ responsibilities, decision rights, and clearly defined escalation path

4. Ensure success criteria defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected program outcomes

5. Keep all stakeholders (internal & external) engaged in the program, aligned on expected outcomes and informed throughout the program

Serve as a liaison with client and 3rd parties, ensuring alignment and understanding of key dependencies

6. Proactively communicate the program’s progress on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency

7. Provide leadership and key stakeholders with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions

Increase transparency by institutionalizing appropriate “inspection” practices to continuously improve project and program delivery and ensure a uniform, enterprise delivery customer experience

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelordegree in business or equivalent work experience
  • 10-15years of previous senior project or program management and/or relevant consulting experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project and program management processes and methodologies
  • Experience in driving large scale change efforts
  • Experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes/ teams within and external to the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries desired
  • Experience with Project Management tools

Travel Required:

  • Approximately 20-25% travel
