Provides direct and indirect supervision to subordinate managers and employees performing diverse roles within large sites. This includes establishing plans/objectives, and developing policies for the function/unit. Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-functional or international basis. Work is guided by broad site objectives and corporate policy. Work requires developing solutions, precedents, and/or policies. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and sets goals to achieve objectives. Establishes long-term plans/objectives and recommends changes to policies. Develops department budgets and goals. Has overall responsibility for business process for the organization. Sound decisions are essential for the overall success of functional, division, or company operations. Provides direct supervision to others, or indirect through subordinate supervisors, and coordinates the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees. Reviews employees’ performance and recommends employee compensation; coaches for improved performance and disciplines as necessary. Provides final approval for subordinate managers’/supervisors’ salary and performance recommendations. Builds cross-functional relationships where persuasive skills, negotiation skills, and considerable tact are required to gain support. Interacts regularly with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers. Maintains positive relationships with key internal customers, suppliers, etc., who have a significant impact on the success of the organization.
Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Provide financial and operations/engineering modeling leadership in support of business proposals and quotes to customers, as well as other financial analysis to aid business decisions.
Provide leadership to a team of financial analysts and engineers ensuring RFQ (request for quotations), pricing analytics and modeling activities meet the targeted level of accuracy, consistency, quality and compliance with Celestica‘s goals, as well as rapid turn-around time of business proposals, quotes and other financial analysis.
Ensure the efficient and effective execution of department objectives.
Drive productivity and continuous improvement of cost / price modeling processes, systems, methods and tools.
Provide guidance to the team to generate and suggest price models and timely completion of product price templates required by customers.
Effectively collaborate with other functions and stakeholders to drive towards Celestica’s objectives by establishing strong working relationships across functions and geographies.
Train, mentor, coach and provide support to regions, sites and/or individuals for relevant procedures and processes.
Prepare and present financial analysis including analytics and insights to mid/senior level management.
Remain current on overall company goals and specific business unit strategy, value proposition and site capabilities in the areas of manufacturing processes, supply chain management and other services
Possess a thorough understanding of customer contracts’ key terms and conditions, pricing models and be able to reflect appropriately in modeling and simulations

~Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing [EMS] environment processes and services.
~Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
~Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
~Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc)
~Occasional travel may be required
~Nine plus years of relevant experience preferably in an EMS quotation environment
~Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
