  POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The CVG Strategic Solutions Manager Solution (SSM) will play an important role in the CVG Sales organization working closely with the Regional Vice President of Sales, the Director of Strategic Sales and District Sales leaders. This position will be responsible for key strategic accounts, driving Medtronic revenue and share and for executing hospital-specific strategies that match the unique breadth of Medtronic’s cardiac and vascular-related product and service offerings.

 

The primary work will be partnering with the Regional Vice President and the Director of Strategic Sales to lead cross-functional team collaboration to educate and position Medtronic CVG and to evolve our value proposition to include solution offerings.

 

Successful new program development and execution will drive stronger, value based, customer relationships, while also providing invaluable insights into optimal future customer program portfolio, viability of business model options and ideal approach to scale select solutions.

  

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with the CVG Regional Vice President, Regional Director of Strategic Sales, and the Regional CVG Districts in conjunction with the National Marketing and Strategic Teams to execute and drive programs through to successful completion based on agreed upon objectives
  • Partner with strategic customers/regional stakeholders to define goals for program, as well as metrics of success
  • Work as a member of the CVG Sales Regional Team to align and facilitate the execution of available customer education and the offered value driven resources to the regionally selected strategic customers
  • Organize and then lead the program implementation steering committee, comprised of key customer stakeholders, as well as select CVG Management and functional leaders
  • Develop detailed execution plan in collaboration with the Regional Business Leaders, customers and key in-house personnel
  • Serve as a project leader, working across the organization to secure key resources required for a successful project execution, and leading team to complete all necessary efforts within the defined timeline
  • Partner closely with CVG Strategic Sales team and key customers to solicit feedback into development/execution of select customer programs, and to ensure appropriate level of communication to all parties to keep all informed of execution progress/impact
  • Regularly provide key stakeholders with status reports on project execution and ongoing impact
  • Continually reassess project implementation approach, making adjustments to the defined game plan as needed to assure successful execution of current and future customer programs
  • Serve as a key liaison to the CVG Regional Team, Strategic Sales and other CVG Marketing teams in offering unique customer insights for future customer program development/execution
  • Work closely with the Medtronic Government Affairs and Healthcare Economics Group to stay current with the market to proactively scan the marketplace to address key issues faced by Health System executives. Reassess project implementation approach as needed, making adjustments to game plan as needed to assure successful execution of current and future customer programs


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 years of experience in healthcareSales, Marketing, Consulting, or a Program leadership role

                                                DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (optional):  

  • Prefer Value Base Health Care/ Population knowledge 
  • Project management skills 
  • MBA/MHA
  • 10 or more years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Consulting, or a Program leadership role
  • Project management experience
  • Experience leading cross functional teams and/or multi-faceted customer programs/engagements
  • Experience partnering cross functionally with health system administrative and clinical leaders, Medtronic sales people and wide array of Medtronic CVG in-house teams
  • Experience with US health care delivery system and key providers/players involved across the cardiac care continuum
  • Medtronic Experience - preferably in the Cardiac and Vascular Group businesses
  • Certified Medtronic Lean Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt, or Lean Yellow Belt
  • Experience independently leading complex implementation engagements
  • Proven ability to successfully lead complex implementation engagements in a highly matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both customers (physician and administrative customers), as well as internal functional representatives
