Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies' Manufacturing group is seeking a Sr. Production Manager (Downstream Manufacturing).  The successful candidate will be recognized as subject matter expert with regard to manufacturing processes and system owner.  They will ensure delivery of production execution schedule and adherence to daily and weekly schedule.  They will initiate and oversee implementation of new technology and modifications to existing technology aimed at cost reduction, efficiency improvements, minimization of downtime and quality/safety enhancement.  Make recommendations regarding departmental profit plan, capital planning, budget and standards development. Recognize and investigate opportunities for financial savings across a broad spectrum of operational activities.  Must be able to identify and communicate improvement opportunities and results. Coordinate and lead production training across shifts.  Identify operational needs for special projects (new product subteam, capital projects, etc.) ensuring site/divisional linkage is achieved.  Mentor and train new managers and other new departmental employees.

Main areas of responsibility include:

Proactively and regularly develop/manage team member’s performance and capabilities;

Assure team activities, equipment, facilities, and personnel are operated and maintained in a state of compliance with appropriate requirements and manages coordinators responsible for change over activities.

Measure and reportschedule adherence delivery on production schedule;

Develop, measure, and improve strategies within the team that are in alignment with site and operational  strategies

Drives profit plan targets to assure alignment with profit plan targets.


Job Requirements

B.S./B.A. degreepreferred (science, engineering or other technical field preferred) plus seven years of coaching/supervisory experience plus a minimum of seven years experience in a related technical field.  Required: some college credits or military technical training in science, engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 10 years coaching/supervisory experience plus a minimum of 10 years experience in a related technical field.
