The Director, PMO provides strong leadership in a matrix environment to promote best practices in managing inter-related projects to ensure successful delivery within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality. This role will also ensure project resources have the correct toolsets and processes in place and that all relevant staff are trained and equipped to deliver successfully. The Director, PMO is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of organizational projects, providing expert knowledge and support, and monitoring progress and reporting on project statuses, in addition to managing some projects directly. The Director, PMO is responsible for project budgeting and driving accountability across the project teams and within the PMO function.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related Business field required. Master’s degreepreferred. Eight years technical project leadership experiencerequired, with proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and driving results through metrics-driven, KPI-based methodologies; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - including prioritization, planning, task delegation and coordination across teams, to include budget management and tracking for large, high-visibility programs.

Strong business knowledge to grasp the needs of the business in the short, medium and long-term – able to define a roadmap for overall project delivery is required. Must demonstrate a strong ability to absorb and deliver highly technical requirements into an action plan delivered downward and upward within the organization.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Concise written and verbal skills, including presentation delivery, at the senior and executive levels of leadership.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and ability to guide others to adaption to change in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Schedule may include after hours, weekends and holidays depending on appointment schedules.  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen.  Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
