Duties and Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include: developing instructional materials; teaching courses that cover such topics as international management, global leadership, international negotiations, organizational development, and intercultural communications; and engaging in service activities within the school. Teaching will be at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Job duties include leading educational international trips. Full time instructor teaching requirements include seven three-credit courses, or equivalent, per academic year. The specific semester course assignments are to be determined once hired. The appointment begins in January 2018. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and based on the University of Colorado pay scale, with a three-year contract. We seek candidates who are able to combine research-based scholarship and international business across multiple industries and has a demonstrated record of teaching excellence with innovative pedagogy. Must have a strong academic background. As such, the ideal candidate must have:
- A PhD degree or equivalent doctorate degree in business, economics, anthropology, psychology, or related field.
-Having taught at least two courses at university level in the fields of international management and organizational behavior, demonstrating innovative teaching approaches, such as class simulations, online software platforms, and mentored student research projects, among others.
- Student teaching of courses while in graduate studies will be considered.
- Must be willing to design and lead international trips involving both undergraduate and graduate students.
