BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for managing Account Management staff in the continued and increased market growth by negotiating renewals or selling products and services to existing customers, understanding customer needs, and providing customer support. Assist in the development of retention strategy and responsible for the implementation of initiatives. Manage daily operations and monitor department and individual results and provide direction to meet/exceed goals. Responsible for building relationships and representing the company to external stakeholders including brokers and accounts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*Bachelor Degree OR 4 years managed care account management experience.
*Current, valid State Insurance License.
*Minimum of 7 years successful record in managed care account management/account servicing experience.
*Sales/marketing strategy development experience.
*Thorough knowledge of managed care products, sales techniques, sales processes, and trends.
*Management of complex managed care accounts.
*Leadership and mentoring skills.
*Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.
*Experience addressing customer needs and make sound decisions.
*Experience building strong customer relations.
*Negotiation, presentation, sales, and financial skills.
*Verbal and written communications skills, including business writing.
*PC proficiency including Excel and PowerPoint and salesdatabases.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*Bachelor degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
*Management experience.
