General Business Development Responsibilities:

  • Identify research-based, near and long-term Water and Environment growth opportunities within the aviation industry
  • Develop and maintain relationships with target airport clients and potential teaming partners
  • Identify and pursue key aviation environmental project opportunities
  • Identify, communicate, and assist other GS&P markets with airport terminal, airside and landside project opportunities
  • Develop and execute a tactical plan for pursuit positioning and market conditioning
  • Manage marketing budget
  • Assume leadership roles and actively participate in aviationtrade organizations

General Project Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for overall client relationships
  • Lead project pursuits including focused capture planning sessions
  • Lead contract negotiations and risk management
  • Communicate client vision, goals, and objectives to Project Team
  • Represent client within GS&P Project Team
  • Resolve client disputes
  • Confirm client satisfaction
  • Maintain client relationship beyond project close out
  • Engage, develop and mentor staff

Preferred Technical Competencies:

  • Environmental regulatory compliance strategies
  • Sustainability principles
  • Stormwater, water quality management, and NPDES permitting
  • LID, green, and traditional stormwater infrastructure design
  • Environmental planning including air quality analyses/conformity, noise analyses, NEPA, and EIS coordination for airport sponsors
  • Applicable FAA regulations, policies, and procedures

 Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar degree; Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required for engineers
  • Minimum of 20years of experience in environmental consulting
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development for aviation clients
  • Proven business development and client management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team oriented
  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to identify key issues
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively and independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
