A mid-sized, global company is seeking a Business Development / Sales Manager to work a national territory. This growing organization’s offerings include analytical services, solid state chemistry formulation services, and biochemistry services among others. The Sales Manager will focus on selling analytical services to clients by "hunting" for new leads/new business and growing a territory to a nationwide scale.
The ideal candidate will have:
-BS/MS in Life Science or related field; early experience working as a scientist preferred
-Experienceselling analytical services; will consider drug discovery or development
-At least 5years of business-to-businesssalesexperience
-Experience working for contract research labs or in related analytical field
-Strong knowledge of the US pharmaceutical market
-Interpersonal and presentational skills, capable of identifying potential new business leads and building relationships
-Positive, go-getter personality with the drive and energy to see long-term projects through.
-Ability to work remotely, while maintaining a team mentality
Responsibilities will include:
-New account development, lead generation, building client relationships
-Accountable for sales quotas and targets
-Monitoring competition by performing regular market-research
-Ensuring existing accounts are appropriately maintained
-Closing large deals and seeing them through the entire sales cycle
-Plan and develop advertisements and promotional programs
-Work closelywithinternal teams to ensure client needs and company expectations are satisfied
This Sales Manager will work on a small but growing team to help generate new business and close full sales cycle deals.
