Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Bellevue, WA

Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated, talented Data Quality Analyst to help us build a movement to create a more open mobile market that democratizes mobile performance data. The Data Analyst is responsible for evaluating and confirming the accuracy of mobile phone and carrier performance data.  An organization growth mentality is critical for success in this position: a passionate can-do attitude, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate while acting as a thought leader in your area of expertise will serve you well at RootMetrics.

Responsibilities

  • Work with ambiguous and evolving data sets, developing guidelines and parameters, to review, assess, and validate accuracy of mobile phone and carrier performance data for RootMetrics products (e.g., RootScore Report: subscription based, data intensive mobileexperiencereports)
  • Formulate queries for large sums of data, evaluating and ensuring data integrity
  • Provide quality assurance of each product to identify possible issues and/or incorrect technical information
  • Provide in-depth analysis and assessment of data for client deliverables as well as internal resources

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills – Ability to methodically think through complex problems, determine appropriate analytical approach, and independently synthesize information and derive conclusions
  • Experience analyzing data (ex: job experience or quantitative research projects)

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • 3-5 years of relevant and progressive experiencerequired
  • Strong SQL query writing skills with working knowledge of database structures
  • Experience using MS Excel (pivots, macros, etc.) or a scriptinglanguage to analyze data
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Relentlessly high quality standards, accuracy and extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to make well-informed and conclusive decisions with vague and/or ambiguous data
  • Ability to lead through expression of expert opinions and recommendations
