We are currently looking for a Trauma Program Manager within our Admin Trauma Services department. This full time role will work days. 

Responsible for developing and managing the trauma program. Works as a matrix partner with other parts of the organization in order to deliver appropriate services to patients


  • Direct and coordinate the oversight of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients
  • Collaborates with Trauma Medical Director and all other personnel in verification and designation activities for American College of Surgeon site reviews
  • Collaborates with Burn Center Medical Director and nurse manager, as well as other key personnel in verification activities for American Burn Association site reviews
  • Serve as a resource person and community contact for trauma care.  Actively participates in trauma system processes at the region, state and national level 
  • Manage all activities related to the Trauma Registry and data integrity
  • Establish goals, objectives and standards for Trauma Services
  • Identify trends, new ideas or modifications needed to enhance program
  • Develop, plan, manage and coordinate delivery of services to patients
  • Develop and implement procedures, protocols and policies for Trauma Services
  • Develop and analyze program initiatives for their effectiveness. Implement quality improvement activities
  • Collaborates with Trauma Medical Director to lead and facilitate Trauma Multidisciplinary Committee
  • Develop, direct and maintain reporting guidelines and support systems to assist with Trauma Services initiatives
  • Manage budget for Trauma Services
  • Identify industry trends, new technology, certifications or modifications needed to enhance program, care, and services for trauma patients
  • Select, orient, supervise and evaluate performance of direct reports including trauma registrars, trauma data analyst, pediatric trauma & critical care coordinator, trauma performance improvement and patient safety coordinator, trauma prevention specialist, referral coordinator and office manager




Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field is required.
  • Individuals who do not have a Master’s degree in nursing, must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Three to five (3 to 5) years of professional leadership experience (i.e., Nurse Manager, Clinical Care Supervisor, Program Coordinator) 
  • Five (5) years clinical experience in a verified and/or designated trauma center
  • -OR-
  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience 



  • Two to four (2-4) years of experience as a Trauma Program Manager in a verified and/or designated trauma center
  • Experience in organizational process improvement, project management or Lean/Six Sigma
  • Certification in project management
