Job Summary:

The Senior Director / Regional Controller - Healthcare Division leads accounting processes and procedures, financialreporting and analysis, and maintains the appropriate internal controls over designated Healthcare entities and major transactions. The incumbent serves as the primary accounting business partner for the Ministry Market Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements operational decisions of standardized regional accounting practices and procedures
  • Oversees and is responsible for the financial records and disclosures inclusive of close processes, quarterly disclosures and audit requirements for designated Healthcare Division entities
  • Leads financialreporting and technical accounting on all regional major accounting transactions including writing or reviewing technical accounting position papers
  • Oversees the quarterly accounting requirements for the region, including but not limited to, the internal controls checklist, letters of representation, and debt compliance questionnaire
  • Leads compliance with internal controls and establishment of an effective internal control environment
  • Leads business partner relationship with Healthcare Division Chief Financial Officers for designated region and other interested parties in order to foster teamwork and effective communication
  • Oversees ongoing talent stewardship and succession planning
  • Manages staff to include assignment of work, evaluating, coaching, hiring and terminating

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Certified Public Accountant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Education:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Accounting/Finance required; Master's Degreepreferred

Work Experience:

  • Ten years experience in Accounting field required; Healthcareexperiencepreferred
  • Demonstrated experience in progressively more responsible roles
  • Atleast three years of leadership experiencepreferred
  • Critical thinking, analytical skills and business acumen needed to make decisions, solve problems, and manage time and people resources
  • Effective team building, coaching, collaboration, and influence skills
  • Ability to lead through vision and values
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
