Komen, and many others to build and execute customer centric business strategies.   Role Purpose   This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing all Warner Bros. Picture’s digital marketing activity, including but not limited to: digital strategy and innovation, ROS and programmatic advertising, website development and deployment, Canadian social media channels and campaigns, contests/sweepstakes and digital partnerships.  Support the SVP in ensuring all digital campaigns are designed and executed to strategy.  The Director will interact with our various Agencies, the domestic marketing teams in Burbank including Advertising and Creative Services and the Canadian Publicity and Promotions teams to advise and support the execution of digital marketing campaigns on all new release titles.   Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing and directing all digital campaign activities including idea generation, creative direction, technical specification management, data collection, audience strategy and campaign reporting
  • Responsible for managing the digital team that includes Managers, Media/Advertising Manager, along with the Co-ordinators in Media and Creative Services in the day-to-day marketing duties. Must ensure all projects are on time, on budget and on strategy
  • Manages the QA process to ensure all technical specifications, creative and media requirements are met and data capture takes place
  • Manage the Media Agency and the Social Media Agency.  Providing them with strategy and direction on a per film basis
  • Manages third-party vendors through the proposal and development process of social media graphic campaigns
  • Develops ideas for fan loyalty programs and social engagement strategies crafted per film campaign
  • Works closely with the publicity/promotions team attending events & functions (PA tours) leading real-time social coverage
  • Acquires social handles and URLs for all upcoming films   
  • Manages the WB Canada website and social pages in conjunction with the Global Website managers in Burbank and local agencies
  • Moderates user comments on all social pages
  • Attend weekly/monthly team conference calls
  • Provides ongoing updates to the team on digital and social executions both internal and competitive
  • Analyze all film post reports and make recommendations for future programs
  • This position reports to the Sr. Director or VP of Media Services.

  Qualifications:

  • Min. 5-7 years experience in Digital Marketing
  • Min. 5 years Managerial experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of programmatic, ROS and digital partnership advertising protocols and best practices
  • Expert level understanding of web, social and other digital advertising and analytics platforms and applications
  • Must live and breathe digital communications and fundamentally keep abreast of changes, evolutions and innovations in web, social and digital tools, channels and functionalities
  • Preference will be given to those with hands-on experience in digital advertising strategy, digital ad buying, programmatic advertising service, social media strategy and digital channel management
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical and business information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and grows internal knowledgebase
  • Must have excellent negotiation and analytical skills
  • Must have solid working knowledge of marketing, strategic planning and financial & competitive analysis
  • Strong organizational skills required to effectively manage multiple projects as at time
  • Ability to manage internal and external Web development efforts from inception to successful completion
  • Ability to interact diplomatically with various divisions and various levels within our partner companies
  • Ability to prepare ongoing activity and status reports regarding campaign activities
  • Solid understanding of the web development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management
  • Experience with the digital ad technology landscape and all the various solution required to execute digital data powered campaigns
  • Experience leading and organizing cross-functional teams for web and software development efforts
  • Must know suite of work applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Presentation, Keynote, etc.)
  • Strong technical background and experience-should be familiar with timeframes and procedures for web and app development
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to multitask and manage small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Preference will be given to those with knowledge of CMS-driven websites, full comprehension of CASL compliance practices
  • Preference will be given to those who have first-hand working knowledge of programmatic ad buying – whether through direct placement technologies or working closely with a managed service
  • Preference will be given to those with a strong comprehension of social media best practices, social listening, social media advertising optimization and the myriad tools used for effective oversight
  • Solid understanding of current web-enabling technologies
  • An understanding of mobile platforms and application development.
