We’ve built the strongest portfolio in the industry with more than 25 brands, providing industry-leading digital marketing, software, financial, wholesale and e-commerce solutions for consumers, dealers, manufacturers and the overall automotive ecosystem.  To support and drive Cox Automotive’s ongoing growth and integrated go-to-market sales strategy, we are looking for a talented sales design expert to design, build and implement Cox Automotive’s overall sales compensation strategy and plan designs for multiple businesses across Cox Automotive.

  • Design sales compensation plans in alignment to business objectives.

  • Establish and implement Cox Automotive’s overall Sales Compensation philosophy, standard plan policies, governance and issue resolution process.

  • Design and implement the compensation design planning cycle in collaboration with finance, sales, HR and other functions.

  • Educate and communicate sales compensation design principles, best practices and business process.

  • Partner with Sales leaders and Sales Operation teams to understand their business needs and translate them into incentive compensation deliverables, including performance measures, weights, mechanics and other best practice design principles.

    • Facilitate a sales compensation design steering committee across businesses to ensure all compensation timelines, budgets, plan designs, reporting and communications are aligned and agreed to by stakeholders

    • Partner with Sales Operations to develop and distribute training, presentations, and other materials for compensation programs

    • Assess plan designs for reasonableness of target incentives, commission rates, and compliance established guidelines and policies

    • Partner with the Sales Operations teams to ensure sales incentive systems administer plans

    • Develop and implement Compensation Policies working with Finance, Legal, Sales Operations and Sales.


Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales compensation strategy, design and administration

Bachelor’s degree required

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to effectively communicate with senior executives and build consensus and influence across a wide range of constituents

Demonstrated ability to think creatively and innovatively, as well as identify areas for process improvement Advanced analytical and problem solving skills

Management experience required

Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with incentive compensation automation tools
