The Director Product Management Integrated Decision Support is a strategically important position within Elsevier’s Clinical Solutions business. Clinical and integrated decision support is an important growth area for the business. The Director will own the product strategy and all aspects of product management for a suite of clinical decision support solutions in the Clinical Solutions portfolio. This role will have a leadership position shaping the development priorities for EHR integrated decision support solutions to drive significant revenue growth in the IDN/provider market over the next 3-5 years. Leveraging strong healthcare domain expertise and commercial acumen this role will interact regularly with clinical executives to understand current pain points and prioritize requirements for new decision support tools. This position reports directly to the Vice President Integrated Decision Support.
• Defines the product strategy to significantly accelerate our clinical decision support growth• Drive industry leading innovation• Is responsible for all aspects of product management• Is accountable for gathering, analyzing and defining both business and functional requirements, including workflow analysis within an interdisciplinary clinical setting.• Cultivates relationships with subject matter experts to research and validate product concepts, document pain points, and refine use cases for new products.• Manages product roadmaps and liaises with technology stakeholders leveraging Agile methodologies to ensure on time delivery • Develop and deliver materials which convey the purpose and details of the product, definition of its user, benefits to the customer, customization capabilities, and competitive analysis.• Participates in go to market planning in coordination with product marketing, sales, marketing communications and other customer facing teams
Qualifications• 7-10 years of software product management experience • Healthcare background required (direct HIT/EMR product consulting, configuration and/or product management preferred)• Experience working in an Agile development environment• Effective presentation skills, both oral and written, adjusting delivery to target audience• Experience with facilitation of group discussion, dialogue and the consensus process• Proven track record of innovation• Ability to work in a matrix organization• Proficiency with MS Office• Travelrequired (20-30%)• Location: Philadelphia preferred, otherlocations for discussion
