Thru is looking for a highly motivated and professional Systems Engineer. Under direct supervision, this individual is responsible for implementation and support for the Thru platform for both external and internal customers. Candidates for this position will have an in-depth understanding of the Microsoft Windows platform and use that knowledge to support and enhance the Thru platform.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in deployment of Thru platform both in Thru data centers and customer data centers
  • Assist with site management, application code promotions, and system patches
  • Review application and systems logs and escalate to proper personnel
  • Provide continual improvement recommendations for support
  • Participate in customer and internal projects as required
  • Research new technology and methodologies to incorporate into Thru’s architecture
  • Assist in implantation and maintenance of ISMS in accordance with ISO 27001 standards
  • Liaison with sales team on RFIs and speak to customers on key technical points
  • Assist customers in the implementation and troubleshooting of Thru’s SOAP and REST APIs
  • Customer Support and problem resolution

Business Travel

  • Some business travel is expected for this position

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or IT related field is required
  • MCP, MCSE, Cisco or other technical certification a plus

Relevant Work Experience

  • 2-3 in the following areas:
    • Server deployment and troubleshooting
    • Operational support in the IT industry
    • Customer Management

Required Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 2008 R2 product suite; to include IIS 7.5, MSSQL 2008 R2, and Windows Clustering
  • Windows System Center implantation and configuration is a very strong plus
  • Basic network skill relating to VPNs, Firewalls, and TCPIP preferred
  • SOAP and REST APIs knowledge a strong plus
  • Ability to communicate and respond to multiple trouble tickets in a timely manner
  • Approachable person that works well in teams or by themselves
  • Maintain a high level of involvement with current technologies and innovations
  • Must be able to manage enterprise level customers and customer requests with a professional and positive attitude
  • Use office computer technology, including all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Have a strong understanding of disaster recovery architectures
  • An innovative and creative thinker with the ability to apply proven approaches to new problems and create compelling techniques
  • Must be a team-player with a high comfort level working collaboratively
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
