The Senior Program Analyst - Strategy and Planning will provide planning and program management support to strategic initiative teams across the organization. This role supports all aspects of program and project management - developing charters, business cases, work plans, tracking issues and risks, etc.

The ideal candidate will be familiar/experienced in utilizing and facilitating/leading teams in learning and applying Agile approaches in a non-IT focused environment. Further analysis will be required to support the valuation of projects. Miscellaneous activities could also include supporting corporate quality activities and reporting as well as developing presentation materials for senior executives and workstream leaders.

In addition to general program/project management, the Senior Program Analyst - Strategy and Planning will need to conduct analysis to;

  • Identify trends
  • Characterize operational situations and Financial implications
  • Develop hypotheses and make recommendations

Position Purpose

Manage the development and implementation process of the company's products and services. Leads a cross-functional team of experts working on related projects by managing the projects in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and control not available by managing them individually. Focuses on project interdependencies and helps to determine the optimal approach for managing them. Customer point of contact. Managers cost, schedule and performance. Maintains continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives. Builds credibility and rapport with the stakeholders at multiple levels internal and external. Ensures the ultimate success of the program.

Basic Requirements:

  • Master's degree
  • At least 6 years of technical project/program management experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience


  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 8 years of technical project/program management experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience


  • At least 10 years of technical project/program management experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Comfortable communicating at executive level
  • Experience in Agile management practices (Kanban, Scrum, 4DX) and facilitation in NON-IT RELATED PROJECTS
  • Business and operations analytics highly preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (pivot tables, modeling, etc.) preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint capabilities (high first time quality presentations) preferred
  • Experience in commercial vehicle and/or automotive related industries preferred
