Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all financial processes related to global operations including: annual plan, forecasts, capital spending, inventory valuation, cost of goods sold analysis and standard product costing
  • Participate in business and financial analysis of strategic initiatives
  • Financial oversight for the construction of a new $200 million manufacturing facility in Massachusetts
  • Provide strategic financial guidance for the long-term global manufacturing footprint decisions for the company
  • Lead projects that drive improved ROIC
  • Assess current financial processes and define both long-term and short-term improvement plans with an eye on continuous improvement
  • Design and implement financial and operating KPIs to monitor performance. Develops action plans to address issues
  • Collaborate with management on financial implications relating to global operations to obtain maximum value
  • Ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements, internal control standards and policies
  • Mentor the functional departments to promote a better understanding of financial tools and metrics designed to enhance performance

Management

  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the goals and objectives of the function
  • Create an environment for talent development with a focus on succession planning for key roles across the Global Operations Finance Team
  • Coach and develop the finance team within scope to understand business context, identify opportunities for improvement and take on stretch assignments
  • Promote a culture that reflects the organizations' values, encourages high performance and rewards productivity
  • Actively engage in promoting diversity and inclusion across the function
  • Provide operational governance and educates employee base, as appropriate, on financial/risk management

The Person

The ideal candidate is an experienced financial operations/supply chain leader with both a strategic and tactical mindset who enjoys working with and motivating others to success across organizational boundaries.

  • A strategic thinker who sees the big picture but doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves to dig into the details. Attention to detail and confidence with data analysis will be crucial in ensuring the accurate tracking of business performance and development of business cases.
  • Demonstrate ability to bring clarity to complex and ambiguous issues
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders while influencing and driving change across the organization, including the executive level
  • Experienced in business process analysis and extensive knowledge of best practices in operations finance

Qualifications

  • BS. in Finance and/or Accounting and 12+ years of experience in financial leadership roles of increasing responsibilities with proven management experience, with at least 5 years within global manufacturing organizations, preferably with a public company.
  • MBA and other certifications (CPA, CFA, Six Sigma) highly desired
  • We are looking for candidates with strong financial analysis, cost accounting and project management skills
