  • Position SummaryThis is a senior operational and staff management position accountable for the quality, efficiency, performance and management of the MaineHealth Supply Chain IS Contracting team. The Manager of IS Contracting facilitates strategic sourcing, leads or co-leads negotiations, and oversees IS contracting services and solutions for MaineHealth. In conjunction with the Senior Director of Sourcing & Procurement and the leadership of Maine Medical Center Integrated IS, the Manager of IS Contracting develops sourcing strategies that support expense control through strategic vendor partnerships, aggregation of spend and effective benchmarking and negotiations. Additionally, he/she ensures that purchases are made in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures in support of Safe Patient and Family Centered Care. The position scope is MaineHealth wide and includes acute and non-acute settings. The success of the IS contracting team requires leadership over significant/complex functions dependent upon strong business alignment within the contracting team and across Supply Chain.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Knowledge of contemporary business practices acquired through graduation from a four-year college/university or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in purchasing/contracting/or related transferable experience; proven staff management expertise required.
  • Professional Certification desirable (CMRP, CPM), Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Lawson preferred; Experience with Information Services desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, drive productivity and resolve issues. Strong organizational skills and change management ability.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers through excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and collaborate.
