Description

Position Summary:


The Financial Analyst II is responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis. He/she prepares financial plans and forecasts based on performance expectations. The position gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance. The Analyst also performs financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques and recommends alternative courses of action.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Conducts and documents complex financial/analysis projects and prepares forecasts.
  • May also be responsible for general accounting activities.
  • Conducts and documents more complex financial and business analyses and research in areas such as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, profitability and investments.
  • Makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinates preparation, roll-up and presentation of analysis results.
  • Performs analysis and research for the preparation of long range planning, operating reviews and annual operating plans.
  • Prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, profitability and other related areas.
  • Makes recommendation for improvements.
  • May prepare and compile data for income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports for more complex business unit or plant.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with statutory regulations and Corporate accounting standards/policies.
  • May coach and assist in training of less experienced employees.


Qualifications

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Manufacturing or equivalent related experience. 5+ years.
  • Accounting Certification Preferred (ex. CPA, ACA).
