Job Summary

The Associate Director of Administration, Supervision & Residential Operations promotes the University Residences Mission, leadership and student-centered focus of administration support for University Residences and additional master leased properties. In collaboration with the leadership team in UR Administration, Associate Director of Administration, Supervision & Residential Operations is responsible for reinforcing a residential campus environment that provides opportunities for personal growth through relationships. Reporting to the Director of Administration with functional reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Administration, this position coordinates and manages the day-to-day supervision and staffing oversight inherent to the internal processes of UR Administration.

- Campus Collaboration & Internal Liaison

- Crisis response/Serve on-call

- Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six years of experience in a management role
  • In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
  • Must have high work standards, strong interpersonal and intercultural relations, effective communication, a drive for results, and excellent decision-making skills
  • Competent in financial management, coaching/leading others, and strategic thinking
  • Must be able to demonstrate success in process review and improvement; to include challenging the status quo, championing change and effectively influencing others to change
  • Ability to use business knowledge, innovative thinking and sound judgment to effectively resolve problems
  • Must be a hands-on manager with demonstrated attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to recognize trends and execute adjustments with internal and external partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to lead others with a team approach and work effectively with individuals and campus organizations from different viewpoints and backgrounds
  • Utilize department standards and teamwork in daily work activity
