Amperesand is building a global company and looking for talent across our geographies.Responsibilities:Lead next generation power conversion system design applicable to Solid State Transformer Systems including optimized topology, device selection, magnetics, and controlsDrive best in class solutions that balance efficiency, cost, safety, and reliability, and use cases to support key customer needsOwn simulation and optimization of power conversion approaches to ensure various approaches are ranked by customer impact and figures of meritEnsure our power electronics roadmap leverages latest supplier SiC/GaN and magnetics capabilitiesDrive advanced power electronics packaging solutions along with mechanical/electrical teamsOwn design for EMC and compliance by building into architecture, requirements, and risk management of our programsLead advanced controls development to unlock optimized technology for our productsLead power electronics technical requirements development and tracking through programsParticipate in prototype development and validation of next generation power electronics concepts Qualifications: Technical degree or equivalent experience in power electronics design and architecture.10+ years' experience in power conversion designIndustry leading knowledge and proven execution of power conversion developmentDemonstration of design by simulation and figure of merit approach including topology, controls, devices, and magneticsOutstanding knowledge of EMC and HV related compliance Exceptional experience working with Sales, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Applications and Compliance Engineering to drive harmonized and efficiently executed solutions for the customerEvidence of delivering strategic and tactical based power electronics solutionsEntrepreneurial mindset with clear bias for informed action and leading new initiatives with limited resources and supportExcellent written and verbal communications in EnglishWillingness and ability to travel up to 10% including internationally
