Tyndale is seeking an experienced accountant to join our accounting team. In this position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reports and safeguarding company assets through monthly and annual financial close activities, investigating and problem-solving, and working collaboratively with others. This role directly impacts the success of accounts payable, accounts receivable, royalties and general ledger functions through analysis of data, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiencies, implementation of new processes and systems, and training staff accountants. Responsibilities: Processes journal entries and reconciliations. Prepares monthly financial statements and performance reports. Supports preparation of audit schedules and 990 filing. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, ERP and royalty systems, documents and reports. Supports the Finance Director with recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, expenditures and accruals. Assists accounting team with bank reconciliations, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, royalties, sales tax and expense management questions and issues. Prepares and analyzes special reports. Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting processes and systems. Helps with staff training on system upgrades and new procedures. Serves as back-up in all roles and responsibilities when needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree; CPA preferred 5-7 years of accounting experience; knowledge of non-profit accounting helpful Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLookups, and advanced formulas Exceptional attention to detail High level of reliability, integrity, and confidentiality Many employees join Tyndale because they are passionate about the way God's Word, biblically based literature, and Tyndale's giving can minister to the spiritual needs of people. The hiring range for this full-time position is $65,000 to $75,000. Actual salary offers will take into consideration the candidate's education, experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, and other relevant factors.
