CHIEF, DERMATOLOGY SECTION VA BOSTON HEALTHCARE SYSTEM VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as Chief, Dermatology Section. Candidates should have strong leadership skills and a commitment to patient care, trainee education, and faculty development. This full-time position oversees all Section’s clinical activities. We are a referral site for complex dermatologic care including Mohs surgery. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No on-call required. The Section contributes significantly to trainee education from three affiliated residency programs. There are also opportunities to develop research and quality improvement programs within the Section. The position reports to the Chief, Medical Service and is primarily located at the VABHS Jamaica Plain campus. Recruitment/relocation incentives will be considered. VABHS is a multi-campus tertiary care medical center that provides a full range of patient care services along with nationally recognized education and innovative research activities. We have major affiliations with Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. VABHS is a host site for numerous national research programs including the Million Veteran Program, the world’s largest genomic biorepository. VABHS has one of the largest research programs in VA with several federally funded research centers offering significant collaborative opportunities. The position requires US citizenship, M.D. with licensure, and Board Certification in Dermatology. At least 5 years of experience in dermatology clinical activities and prior experience overseeing clinical programs are preferred. Accomplishments should be commensurate with academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor of Dermatology at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine or Harvard Medical School.
