Campus Norfolk, NE General Description The purpose of this position is to instruct classes and labs as assigned by the Dean and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College. Qualifications: Education A Master's degree in related chemistry and/or physics disciplines required. Qualification:Experience Teaching experience at a community college level is preferred. Industry experience in related fields will be considered as equivalent for teaching experience. Qualification:Skills In addition to knowledge of chemistry and/or physics, applicants should be able to demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills as well as familiarity with technology and software used to enhance instruction. The ability to adapt to various learning situations from individuals to groups is key to this position. Special Instructions to Applicants This position will include teaching, tutoring and other responsibilities that foster student success and advance initiatives within the Chemistry/Physics department for the College.
