The Opportunity The Chief Financial Office (CFO) Future Leaders Program is designed to develop entry level talent to be the future generation of leaders for the organization through meaningful projects and team assignments, senior leader exposure, and professional development opportunities within CFO at USAA. The program is a 2-year rotational program where participants will rotate through a series of challenging and unique assignments. Each assignment will be approximately 12 months in length but may vary based on division and business needs. Throughout the rotation, participants can expect to enhance their business and CFO acumen, leadership skills, gain exposure to key CFO areas and disciplines, interact with executive leaders, and receive frequent developmental feedback. The Future Leaders Program is open to business-related, undergrad graduates who attribute strategic thinking, finance acumen and demonstrate outstanding leadership potential. This position is based in San Antonio, TX or Charlotte, NC. What you'll do: The program participants will have responsibilities that may include but are not limited to:Applying proficient functional knowledge to propose solutions and support varying CFO assignments and projectsAssisting with program specific projects and initiatives and serves in a support capacity on cross functional teamsSupporting forecasting/planning process and model improvement initiatives for a business area or expense categoryCompiling and analyzing data to create financial reports and analysis/cost benefit analysis to aid internal and external management decision-makingResearching and organizing data regarding product assignment, product pricing, product profitability and ad-hoc analysisDeveloping workforce planning process knowledge to build strong internal customer relationships with key POC's and business leaders to define and understand strategic workforce objectivesFollowing documented procedures for facilitation of workforce planning process and escalates any identified issues to senior analyst or leadership positions for path of resolutionApplying and integrating basic-level analysis, workforce metrics, and reporting to develop strategic and operational insights for workforce decision-makingUtilizing basic knowledge of multiple data structures and sources to support the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, which may include data visualization, business intelligence, data transformation, or data collectionCommunicating with banks as necessary and performs security administration tasks for various bank platforms and treasury management systemPerforming research and analysis of bank account invoices and resolves discrepanciesEnsuring risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures What you need to have: To qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Eligible candidates must have a graduation timeframe between December 2023 and June 2024. Our 2024 program begins July 8th 2024. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Risk Management or related field (graduation date must be between December 2023 and June 2024)Up to 2 years of related experience conducting financial/accounting research and producing reportsFoundational knowledge of data analysis and relevant technical accounting/finance acumenFoundational or educational level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations and industry practicesEffective written, communication, presentation and computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft ExcelExperience presenting and explaining information in a simple and user-friendly wayCollaboration skills and demonstrated ability to flex to support broader business and CFO teamsSolid analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and planning skills What sets you apart:Overall GPA of 3.0 or greaterPrevious internship experience in the finance industry The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job. What we offer: Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location.
