Certified Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) US-MN-St. Peter Job ID: 2021-1165 Type: Regular Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Surgical Services River's Edge Hospital Overview We have one full-time (80 hours per two weeks) position available in our Surgical Services department. Primarily day shifts with rotating start times. On-call hours during the evenings, weekends, and holidays are required. Responsibilities The CST, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of the patients who come under his or her care. Included in this assignment is the responsibility of processing instruments for sterilization for a variety of departments. He/she also assists with procedures performed in all areas of Surgical Services under the guidance of Registered Nursing staff. Takes OR call. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology and possess a current certification. Holds a current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in inventory and materials control. Communicates and works effectively with people. Physical and mental health with emotional stability and maturity. Physical health includes: being able to stand for long periods of time and lifting. Sincere interest and a sense of responsibility in patient care.
