Details Department: Operating Room Schedule: Days 6:45am - 3:15pm Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Location: Jacksonville, FL Operating room currently has 17 active operating rooms and we do approximately 40 cases per day. It is a fast-paced operating environment. Our general team runs 5 rooms a day on average. The general team consists of the following specialties: general, gyn, ENT, urology, robotics, bariatrics, plastics and vascular. Team highlights: we have two Davinci XI robots, Medtronic ENT navigation, and we are a Center of Excellence for bariatrics and robotics. Our neuro team runs 3 rooms a day on average. The neuro team consists of ortho-spine, spine, craniotomies, and pain cases. Team Highlights: Mazor Robot, Stealth Navigation for spine and cranial and we are a Center of Excellence for spine. Our ortho team runs 3 rooms a day on average. The ortho team consists of total joints, sports medicine, elective trauma, and podiatry. Team Highlights: Mako Robot, Velys Robot and we are a Center of Excellence for knee, hip and shoulders. Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery. Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instruments counts throughout procedures. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
