Your Everyday Perform clerical tasks for multiple professionals and supervisors/managers in the department to support department operations. Type letters, memoranda, reports, contracts, forms, manuals, documents and other materials from drafts or standard formats using MS Word; proofread and correct completed work. Coordinate activities, meetings, schedules, recording and transcription of monthly staff meetings, and other department meetings as needed. Enter data into spreadsheets or existing databases including referrals and verbal orders, run and distribute routine reports, and maintain lists and logs. Provide clerical support to facilitate smooth operation of the department. Sort and distribute department mail and answer routine correspondence on own initiative. Maintain, monitor, and order office supplies, stationery, and adequate supply of forms. Perform a variety of clerical tasks including, but not limited to copying and faxing. Organize and maintain department files, schedules and correspondence for senior staff. Serve as first point of contact for visitors and callers to the department or facility. Answer, screen, and respond to calls and inquiries or refer to department staff. Take calls from field staff regarding schedule changes and advise field staff when patients do not need to be seen due to hospitalization or other transfer.
