You will provide logical provisioning and activation support for Verizon's Global Transport networks, as well as technical assistance to Field Operations on the implementation and configuration of global transport platforms and customer edge equipment.Responsible for the logical configuration of provider edge network equipmentResponsible for the logical configuration of customer network equipment (both Customer Premise and Network)Skill sets typically include Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran platformsEnsure configurations meet customer expectations as well as industry and product standardsResponsible for configuration adjustments as needed for management acceptance testing in support of customer activations Work with external and internal organizations to coordinate and troubleshootProvide network technical assistance to external teams by communicating technical details during turnup and activationResponsible for accurate back office system data record managementServe as training and mentoring resource for junior level Engineers and responsible for complex technical issue escalations from the sameWhat we're looking for...You are an analytical, forward-thinking, and collaborative-minded network engineer. Your dedication and flexibility help to solve complex problems, and you're eager to help us evolve to meet the demands of running the network of tomorrow.Candidates should be comfortable in customer facing situations as well as internal mentoring roles. They should have strong interpersonal and organizational skill sets; be comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment; feel comfortable leading and troubleshooting during an activation call, and understand that flexibility and accountability feed directly into customer satisfaction.
