The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing accounting functions in one or more of the following: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, General Ledger, and Treasury categories. The role handles the overall management and supervision of the accounting specialists. Required Skills & Experience Responsibilities: Prepare daily cash report package, including affiliate A/R reconciliation. Research A/R payments to ensure accurate cash applications and process client ACH transactions. Oversee registration of all new payers/vendors to ensure electronic setups are completed accurately Oversees manual cash posting to ensure that payments are posted appropriately by staff and that correct adjustment codes are used Work with other departments to ensure that posting errors are not just corrected, but the root cause is identified and resolved Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly and address variances. Prepare and process rent payments for all locations. Prepare quarterly bank compliance reports to ensure adherence to covenants. Assist in preparing financial statements per firm guidelines and requirements. Manage journal entries, invoices, and account reconciliations for monthly and annual close. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls. Manage Accounting Specialist team members. Perform ongoing financial analysis of operational functions. Qualifying Experience: Bachelors degree required. High proficiency with Excel and other financial applications. Minimum of 5 years in progressively responsible operational accounting roles.
