Examine, analyze and prepare accounting records, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, statement of cash flows and other reports at the end of each month in both Mandarin and English to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Conduct comparative studies to provide essential insights to Headquarter in China. Conduct meticulous research and roll-forwards of select general ledger accounts and review entries to accounts using generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and international financial reporting standard (IFRS) to ensure they properly reflect the company's financial position in accordance with company policy and all the standards. Collaborate closely with the business development team to address revenue-related inquiries between the company and its partners. Conduct thorough reviews of signed contracts for each event to ensure accurate reporting and classification of the company's consolidated revenues and expenses in accordance with GAAP standards. Analyze, investigate and review financial information including assets, liabilities and retain earnings accounts' fluctuations and variances to identify and resolve accounting issues such as reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Interpret a comprehensive analysis of internal control procedures to identify potential deficiencies, duplication of efforts, and non-compliance with laws and regulations. Report findings and recommend improvements to enhance internal controls and secure financial information through proper database management. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, examining periodic reports that compare budget costs to actual costs. Offer financial perspectives to guide business operations. Collaborate with auditors on general liability and workers compensation audits, providing necessary financial data, documentation, and insights. Address audit inquiries and implement any recommended improvements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Prepare and accurately process Federal, State, and local tax returns and payments, both paper and electronic, to meet filing deadlines as required by taxing jurisdictions. Investigate tax issues using internal revenue code and IRS publications and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues. Provide guidance to management on how corporate strategies affect tax matters and the implications of new laws on tax liabilities. Develop effective tax strategies accordingly. Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure adherence to financial regulations and best practices.
