The Sales Account Manager works as a key member of the CPP-Minneapolis Operation team, focused on a select group of customers. This position interacts with customers, other Account Managers, the corporate Sales team, and the Operations team. The role requires the individual to maintain a high level of focus on customer satisfaction and facilitates cross functional teams to effectively solve customer issues/concerns.

Create quotes to customers on repeat and new business
Perform contract review process and send purchase order acknowledgments to customers after PO is reviewed and deemed acceptable
Review purchase orders for accuracy of price, revision, delivery, duplication, and special instructions and resolve any discrepancies. Enter customer requirements into CPP business system
Enforce contract terms with customers, as needed
Schedule customer delivery requirements– unless we are changing how we process incoming orders
Maintain the order entry system to assure accurate shipping, invoicing, terms and schedule requirements, working within established production planning guidelines
Add and maintain Customer information in CPP business system
Download customer schedules on a regular basis and maintain corresponding schedules within the CPP business system
Coordinate customer returns in a timely manner
Work with customer base to upsell product
Assist in coordinating customer visits
Monitor in process yields to ensure timely response to negative situations
Respond to all customer delivery concerns, involving any necessary member of the Executive or Manufacturing teams in order to effectively solve customer problems
Maintain applicable reports as needed
Populates and manages annual sales forecasts/yearly top line sales projections
Keeps up with current & future market trends & platform builds
Monitor risk and profit margins at the account level as directed
Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
Ability to work at the Bloomington facility
Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
Education: High School diploma or equivalent and Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related field required for this position. Candidates with equivalent experience will be considered for the role as well
Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing customer service experience with aerospace or casting experience preferred
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with experience in Excel, Access, Word.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective communication skills with ability to effectively resolve customer issues in a win- win style. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and nomenclature a plus.
