DUTIES: Contribute to teams responsible for managing and deploying a suite of software and platforms that support the reliability and performance of the Comcast network; operate and maintain software infrastructure for the department’s applications; troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application related problems, including customer network and application issues and outages; respond to, triage, and resolve infrastructure and application alerts; perform incident management; work with Amazon Web Services, and orchestrate and manage AWS containers in Kubernetes; troubleshoot applications and networks using Java, Angular, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Firewalls, and Load Balancers; enable infrastructure as code provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment utilizing Terraform and Ansible; write Bash and Python scripts; utilize Service Now and Jira to track tickets and workflow; use Prometheus, AlertManager, and Grafana for event monitoring; identify efficiency opportunities and implement technical solutions; ensure infrastructure remains security compliant; participate in project meetings; conduct incident management on impacted applications; configure, maintain, and improve CI/CD software pipelines using Concourse; and conduct testing to ensure successful deployment of new systems and software.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience working with Amazon Web Services; troubleshooting applications and networks using Java, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Firewalls, and Load Balancers; enabling infrastructure as code provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment utilizing Terraform and Ansible; writing Bash and Python scripts; utilizing Service Now and Jira to track tickets and workflow; configuring CI/CD software pipelines using Concourse; of which one (1) year includes using Prometheus, AlertManager, and Grafana for event monitoring; and orchestrating and managing AWS containers in Kubernetes.
