Job Overview:Demonstrate exceptional teacher leadership:Directly coach a caseload of teachers to further develop their instructional skills to engage 100% of scholarsProgress monitors students who need the most academic support. Lead Literacy and Math InterventionObserve lessons regularly and deliver targeted feedback to teachersCoach teachers on leveraging blended learning practices to build scholars’ technology literacy, maximize instructional time, and personalize learningLead outstanding professional development:Collaborate with grade and/or subject teams to launch units, plan lessons and assessmentsCollaborate with grade and/or subject teams to lead team meetings to dive deep on curriculum, student work, and lesson planningCoordinate, manage, and facilitate innovative, motivating staff trainings and professional development sessionsFacilitate regular data meetings with teachers to troubleshoot challenges and make decisions based on scholar achievementServe as an active member of the school leadership team:Participate in weekly leadership team meetingsCollaborate with Deans across the Libertas team to build upon and refine current curriculumAssist grade chairs and other teacher leaders in developing leadership skillsDo whatever it takes to ensure that the mission of the school is fulfilledQualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree required Preferred skills and work experience: Have a minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience in an urban school setting as a teacherThree years or more of exceptional student growth/achievement results as a teacherExperience teaching upper level and/or Advanced Placement Humanities courses, preferredTrack record of establishing and maintaining a positive and respectful classroom environmentExperience as a teacher leader, mentor, or coachStrong belief that all students can succeed Demonstrates persistence in overcoming and removing obstacles to goal achievement ? Demonstrates a drive, commitment and sense of urgency that inspires others to achieve results Excellent verbal and written skills Demonstrate an advanced understanding of instructional strategies for students with autism, developmental delay, specific learning disabilities, and behavior disorders Demonstrate strong skills in partnering with families Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction ?
