General Information Country: USA State: Michigan City: Grand Rapids Office Location: 901 44th Street SE - - - - - Date posted: 17-Aug-2023 Business Function: Sales Position Type: Intern Description We will be hiring 1 student to join our Centralized Sales Team in Grand Rapids, MI, as part of our Consultative Field Sales Internship cohort in the summer of 2024. This summer internship experience will build your foundation of consultative sales skills in this complex industry. We seek to identify teammates who are eager to learn about our consultative sales process and add value through leading individual & group projects. Our job is to win sales by creating long-term valuable relationships and to identify the customer's needs while moving the sale forward strategically. Our sales teams leverage different consultative sales levers like research, insights, and workshops. You will likely be surprised to find many of our sales experiences are multiple years in length, leveraging robust sales strategies to remain relevant and show value to the customer. We develop positive relationships with a wide variety of influencers including dealers, real estate professionals, architect and design firms, and end clients. This may happen in the form of client presentations, strategy sessions, customer tours, lunches, after-hours networking events, and more. What this program is not:This internship program is not for a transactional sale - you will not be making quick sales to clients, cold calling, going door-to-door, catalog sales or trying to get people to buy something they don't need. Your role will not be in a showroom assisting people who walk in the door. This internship is in person located in our Grand Rapids Business Center and if selected for a full-time offer, it would be on this team based in Grand Rapids. What youwill be doing: During your summer Centralized Sales Internship- You will lead individual regional projects, which may include: Partnering with our dealers to execute new sales opportunities Identifying opportunities to improve processes Conducting competitive analysis among a dealerParticipate in a summer-long group Innovation Challenge tackling a wicked problem in the sales organization. Travel to the field with your colleague to experience the relationships with the dealer. Participate in sales learning with your intern cohort from experienced sales coaches Gain insight into the industry and our variety of customers - including dealers, architect + design firms, real estate professionals, leader groups and end users Present your final individual and group projects to stakeholders and leaders across the Sales organizationYour Future Team: You will join a team of approximately 20 young professionals who have engaging team rituals, and enjoy each other and mentoring new team members. You will also join the cohort of sales interns based in North America, which is a positive and inclusive group.
