Empowering design of successful technologies through the lens of empathy, enjoyment, strategy and skill

Originally I studied cognitive science and human-computer interaction (HCI), and applied this to designing educational software for kids and adults. Later, I moved to Silicon Valley and helped launch a new campus for Carnegie Mellon University. We ran graduate programs in computer science via hybrid online- and classroom-based techniques. Ultimately I segued into the private sector, focusing my career on user experience research to help design business and consumer products.
