This is a client-focused seller-doer position for which the candidate must have both business development and project management experience for municipal water/wastewater design services in the metropolitan area.
This will include developing, managing, and supporting discussion based and operation based training exercises. Exercise scenarios may include environmental, natural, and man-made disasters; water security events; or similar scenarios.
The successful candidate will be responsible for networking with clients to identify and define projects, developing and negotiating proposals, building teams of technical staff and subconsultants to execute work, maintaining quality management processes to ensure that the work remains on track, and delivering according to scope, schedule, and budget.
The Project Manager engages stakeholders to build trust, and aligns stakeholder expectations and relationships. The Project Manager identifies PM talent among junior to mid-career professionals and encourages their development by providing deliberate, on-the-job mentoring.
Assist in management and development of disaster management programs, response operations, and exercises. This will include developing, managing, and supporting discussion based and operation based training exercises.
Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates; coordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering subconsultants; coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.
Provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including storm water and flood control system design, grading and drainage design, wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and design; and water distribution system evaluation and design.
