Responsible for functions related to developing and supporting information systems to enable research administration activities at MIT and for decision - making and resource allocation related to ensuring the continued operation and security of OSP software applications.
Responsible for flagship course design and delivery, case writing support, extra - curricular programming design and delivery, and program development for alumni / executive action learning and roundtable offerings.
Works with the financial officer on developing and managing program budgets; managing events; evaluating, recommending, and implementing operations and enhancements for future programs; and performing other duties as needed.
Develop and execute the operating budget; manage closing and year - end reporting; analyze and strategically plan for research funding projections and trends, personnel allocations, and other resource management issues; and develop innovative solutions for enhanced performance of department operations.
Provide strategic direction to the office on how to best document, organize, and communicate information across the organization; lead efforts to strengthen current relationships with foundations and spearhead opportunities for new relationships with philanthropic organizations.
Responsibilities include assessing commercial potential of new technologies, managing a broad intellectual property portfolio, developing and implementing strategies for the marketing and licensing of technologies to commercialization partners, and negotiating license and collaborative research agreements.
Monitoring the transaction activities within cost objects, ensuring all expenses are properly posted to the general ledger and cost object accounts. Will work under minimal supervision of the financial coordinator.
Responsible for developing and implementing processes, procedures, and methods for improving results in all key functional areas of custodial services to increase operating efficiently and service delivery reliably.
Work closely with and brainstorm ideas and incorporate feedback from the engineering team, MIT community of developers, teachers, and learners; fix bugs and solve problems; and write documentation and automated tests.
Collaborate with Institute and global colleagues on researching new and emerging technologies; and contribute to collaborative efforts aimed at facilitating innovative human and machine interactions with collections and scholarly information.
