    Infectious disease experts have found that in the months after recovering from the flu, elderly patients have an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. According to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine's William Schaffner, MD, in the two weeks to a month after recovering from influenza, there is a 3-5 times increased risk of having a heart attack and a 2-3 times increased risk of having a stroke. http://spr.ly/6185D8Cc5
