  • Moulage is the art of injury, creating fake burns and wounds to help educate physicians who work with trauma patients. A recent workshop held by the WWAMI Institute for Simulation in Healthcare had students learn how to paint on realistic-looking blood and gore, with some spine-chilling zombie makeup thrown in for good measure (it is Halloween, after all!). The class took place at Harborview Medical Center and was attended by healthcare simulation professionals around the city, community members interested in makeup and special effects, and high school students interested in theater and film.
