The Assistant Director, Instructional Design establishes best practices and processes for online course design, working collaboratively with program managers and subject matter experts to ensure CGPS online courses are high-quality, compelling, and leverage cutting-edge educational technologies.
To help with the development of the educational programs of the department and give curricular input to the courses in such a way as to maintain academic standards and quality within the educational programs.
Assure the timely implementation of Re-appointment, Promotion and Tenure policies as described in the UNE Faculty Handbook and the appendix concerning the policies approved by UNE COM including sabbatical leave activities.
The candidate must be licensed, or be eligible for full/faculty license in Maine and have successful completion of the NBDE parts 1 & 2. Didactic and clinical instruction to pre-doctoral students will be the core responsibilities of the position.
This position reports to the Associate Dean of Curriculum Integration and Analytics for academic/didactic matters and to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education & Patient Care for matters relating to clinical operations.
