Happy Thursday, Facebook Family! Following a successful workshop put on by The Boston Foundation's NonProfit Effectiveness Group on Nov. 3, we wanted to alert you to another great learning opportunity for nonprofits with annual budgets of $500,000 or less. This time the topic is on Financial Management Basics for Nonprofits. We have a wonderful facilitator for this workshop in Gina McDonald, a Certified Public Accountant, who has worked for a decade in nonprofit and governmental accounting and financial reporting. Gina, who was Director of Finance at the Greater Providence (Rhode Island) YMCA, is on the board of the Rhode Island College Foundation and the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities and was a 2013 Providence Business News 40 Under Forty honoree. She graduated from Rhode Island College with Bachelor's Degrees in Accounting and Spanish. Due to limited capacity, registration for this session is offered on a first-come-first-served basis to organizations with annual budgets of less than $500K. If that's you or someone you know, check the picture for details, and register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/financial-management-basics-for-nonprofits-tickets-29482982394.
