    I wanted to give themjust a thought. The thought was to rebuild happiness, said the artist Nick Cave, who led a workshop yesterday for students of all academic disciplines. In groups of three, students could use a variety of materials and manners of presentation in the tradition of Caves soundsuits to define their response. They could use anything in here, or maybe they dont need anything and theyre all writing letters to each other, said Cave, who taught the workshop before delivering the Burt and Deedee McMurtry Lecture at Bing Concert Hall. Talking about and dealing with difficult situations has always been present in Caves work, some of which is currently on view at @andersoncollection_stanford. How do we talk about those concerns without it being just always dark? How do we still look to optimism in the midst of all of that? @stanfordarts Credit: @harry3oi, 13
